TIVERTON, ONT. – Bruce Power has confirmed there was a workplace incident on Sept. 6 involving a crane.
Bruce’s corporate affairs department stated the mishap involved a crane that made contact with a work platform. Work was stopped and no injuries occurred.
“Our team demonstrated the right behaviours and immediately stopped work and placed all equipment in a safe state,” a release stated.
Bruce Power has established a team to investigate further and to “fully understand the cause of this event and put actions into place to ensure it doesn’t occur again.”
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development did not immediately respond to questions about the incident.
