VANCOUVER – It was a red carpet-inspired event where B.C.’s construction industry got to shine.
The (VRCA) celebrated Gold level winners at its 2024 Awards of Excellence gala, held on Oct. 24 at the JW Marriot Parq in downtown Vancouver.
Now in its 35th year, the event featured 50 Silver award winners in 17 categories highlighting industrial, commercial, institutional, infrastructure, multi-family residential and special projects.
“This year’s Gold award winners and outstanding achievement recipients have set a new standard for excellence. I also want to congratulate our Members of the Year ETRO ion, Division 15 Mechanical and Super Save Group for their commitment to the industry and VRCA’s mission,” VRCA president Jeannine Martin said in a statement.
“A special congratulations to our newest Life Member and former VRCA Board Member, Dave Fettback, whose contributions have greatly promoted quality and professionalism.”
In addition to the Gold Award winners, the VRCA recognized achievements in categories such as Safety, Women in ion, Young ion Leader and Education Leadership.
The competition saw 91 submissions across 61 projects with a combined construction value of over $2.9 billion, the release added.
