On this episode of The °µÍø½ûÇøion Record Podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with Derek Smith, the founder of °µÍø½ûÇøionlab Ltd. and the inventor of JOBSITE, the construction-focused board game.
Smith explained how the idea for the board game sprang from looking for a way to get the family together and off their tablets and computers during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic and evolved into North America’s only board game with a construction theme.
Smith, who is the former executive director for the London & District °µÍø½ûÇøion Association, said he playtested the game through contacts in the industry and others, and hopes the game helps both as a fun group activity and a way to educate those interested in construction to learn about the industry.
