In this episode of TCR Express, Journal of Commerce staff writer Russell Hixson and digital media editor Warren Frey talk about some of the stories Russell has on the go, including a look at how fatalities can spike in the summer and the ways employers and workers can avoid these incidents as temperatures go up. Russell is also working on a story about a recent proposal by Vancouver’s new city manager to put a pause on net-zero buildings in order to clear a backlog of residential permits that need to be processed.
Daily Commercial News staff writer Don Wall is working on the Ontario construction industry’s plans now that the province is moving into step one of its Roadmap to Reopen plan. Don has also reported on the federal government yesterday issuing 23 Knowledge Synthesis Grants, to support researchers gathering evidence and updating existing studies on mobility and public transit issues.
