OTTAWA — has been awarded the contract to supply structural steel and metal decks for the new at the Ottawa Hospital.
The contract was awarded by a joint venture between PCLÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýEllisDon.Ìý
Designed by HDR Architects, the new parking structure will support The Ottawa Hospital’s new heath facility and research centre and is designed to accommodate more than 2,500 vehicles. The parking garage will include a direct connection to the main hospital and to transit.
Walters Group’s scope includes fabricating structural components for the parking garage, including portions that cross over the Ottawa Light Rail Transit tracks. Working with LEA Group and Sense Engineering on the structural components of the project ensures these additions improve campus connectivity and contribute to the project’s sustainability goals, indicates a release.
Walters is also currently working on the expansion project of the Ottawa Light Rail Transit.
