OTTAWA — The Ottawa municipal government has announced that O-Train Line 1 resumed service Aug. 8 between Tunney’s Pasture Station in the west and uOttawa Station in the east.
The resumption of service follows the completion of track adjustments and safety inspections along the western portion of the network, stated a release. Service had been suspended since mid-July as staff investigated wheel and axle problems on O-Train lines.
Service is operating with five single-car trains providing service every five minutes.
There will be no changes made to R1, R1 Express, or Para R1 service at this time.
Single-car trains will only use half the platform. Customers should board in the designated section of the platform. New floor decals have been installed at stations to guide customers to the boarding zones.
To further assist customers, OC Transpo staff will be at stations to provide directions to riders.
Full service is expected to resume Aug. 14.
